Talks You Should Be Having With Your Teen

If you’ve been more worried about how to get HughesNet at home or whether or not you’re going to get that promotion you may be missing something when it comes to your teens. Here are a few of the uncomfortable but necessary conversations you should be having with your teenager to ensure communication is open
Smoking: Do you know if your teen smokes? What about their friends? If you haven’t talked to them about smoking odds are someone else has and you should at least know if they’ve tried cigarettes before. You can stop the snowball now if you tell them the truth about smoking.
Cars: If your teens are at the age where their friends are starting to get their licenses you should know what they think about cars. Do they wear their seatbelts and have they ever been in the car with someone who’s impaired? Talk to them so they know they can call at any hour, anytime.
College: Odds are your teen only hears you lecturing about college, not asking thoughtful questions. Talk to them about what their professional goals are and what they’re really looking for in a college experience. They’ll likely open up.
