It’s very hard being a teenager these days. You’re surrounded by peer pressure. Whether it’s to engage in sexual activities or use drugs, friends can be extremely aggresive in their words and actions. That’s why it’s best to make your stand clear. No means no. If you are firm in this statement, and make friends aware of your personal decision to say “no” to negative behaviors, peer pressure will be a bit easier to handle. Be loud and be proud to say no. Life is always going to throw people in your way that try to bring you down to their level. Standing tall and not being afraid to say no will show them you mean business and won’t easily be persuaded. By just saying no to friends while a teenager, you will actually strengthen your decision making skills for later in life. By saying no now, you are becoming a stronger youth with the capability to stand up for yourself. Healthy living, both mentally and physically, starts young. Learn to speak your mind and stand strong in the face of adversity. Love yourself by telling all who will listen that no means no, and your proud to say it!
